Neos S.p.A. was founded on June 21, 2001, and had its inaugural flight on March 8, 2002. The airline was created as a result of the agreement between IFIL, one of the main Italian financial and industrial groups and TUI, a leading company in European tourism. The Neos fleet is made up of Boeing 737-800 twinjets that are all fitted with performance enhancing blended winglets.
